In the heart of the cobbled streets of Vieux Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage site, L'Académie Hôtel offers a unique experience in a fully renovated Renaissance building.
From the Collège to L'Académie...
L'Académie Hôtel is a mischievous nod to the Collège Hôtel, a 4-star establishment located on the opposite side of the street, imagined on the theme of school, where travelers are seduced by this singular atmosphere: "in memory of our dreams".
The Académie Hôtel, meanwhile, draws its inspiration from those places of knowledge and erudition where the world's most eminent specialists gather to reflect and debate in the various fields of human knowledge. Each floor develops the theme of an Academy, leaving the Academicians free space for discussion in each of the 12 rooms and suites.
A historical hotel location
Archives tell us that this building has probably always welcomed travellers, ever since it was built in the 15th century.
It's even possible that the coat of arms in the inner courtyard is that of the Estienne Guerrier family, hoteliers at the same time, and mentioned in the registers.
A unique heritage, entirely renovated, witness to 7 centuries of hospitality, which today becomes the Académie Hôtel.

The Suites Traboule Lyonnaise offer two independent living areas with two bathrooms. Parquet floors and French ceilings, generous, elegant and atypical volumes add a hushed atmosphere to these charming suites.

Lumière Suite
The Suites Lumière run the full length of the facades. Flooded with light and with views over the cobbled streets of Vieux Lyon, they offer generous, elegant and atypical living spaces. Their French-style ceilings, bearing remnants of paintings dated by the Bâtiments de France architects to the 14th century, have been fully restored by Atelier Royal: don't forget to look up!
